“BALANCED!”-Are You?
“Examine yourselves” 2 Corinthians 13:5
God wants you balanced, and the devil wants you imbalanced, he doesn’t care where you’re imbalanced, just so long as you don’t find the correct balance in and through Jesus Christ, for who He’s calling you to be.
The FRUIT of your life testifies to whether you have found balance. Are you highly successful in business, excessively involved in your social life and special interests, yet your marriage and family are sadly lacking? Are you very active in churchianity, yet behind closed doors you’re easily irritated, undisciplined, overly stressed and have little power over appetite?
These are questions people prefer no one ask! Why? Because they indicate we have not found balance in and through Jesus Christ. They are indicators we are running our own lives and not submitting ourselves daily to allowing Jesus Christ to be “in charge” of our life.
Somehow, we believe God will balance the scales to compensate for our life’s inequalities. Yet Solomon says it’s all “vanity and grasping for the wind.” He states that, “I made my works great, I built myself houses, and planted myself vineyards. I made myself gardens and orchards… I made myself water pools… I acquired male and female servants… I had greater possessions than all those who were in Jerusalem before me… I gathered for myself silver and gold and the special treasures of kings… so I became great and excelled more than all who were before me… also my wisdom remained with me… I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure… then I looked on all the works that my hands had done. And indeed, all was vanity and grasping for the wind.” Ecclesiastes 2: 4–11
NOW is the time to balance your scales! Now is the right time to make sure that you are pleasing God in your work, your marriage, your family, your character and spiritual life as well as touching the lives of others. Don’t wait until you lose your most important priorities, and you can no longer do anything about them and have become bankrupt of real value.
God is calling all of us to balance the scales of life, to examine ourselves, to find the real value in this life and by the power of the indwelling Christ, bring our lives back into balance before it’s…?
