Message from the BALIF Board
|
I hope this message finds you well. With the new year ringing in, we have a lot of wonderful events on the radar. Please take note of a few of them below.
Please join us for an inspirational conversation about BALIF's founding and early days. This week's legacy event, organized by longstanding BALIF Board Member Jamie Dupree-Remembering Our History-will take place this Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The event features Roberta Achtenberg, Mark Senick, the Honorable Ronald Albers (Ret.), the Honorable Mary Morgan (Ret.), and Gene Stuart. This event will feature an open conversation about BALIF's inception and younger days as a bar association. Although there is much work to do, it is remarkable to think how far BALIF and LGBT legal professionals have come since BALIF's founding-from private to public membership lists, from just at a few dozen to just over 600 members, and much more. Last year's legacy event was inspirational, and this year's should prove to be the same. Click
here to RSVP.
This week, BALIF is also proud to be co-hosting a conversation with the Asian American Bar Association-How to Become a Judge Pro Tem with the San Francisco Superior Court on January 24, 2018 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. BALIF Co-Chair Pete Catalanotti will be speaking, in addition to Judge Roger Chan, Judge Victor Hwang, Judge Teri L. Jackson, Diana B. Kruze, and Adrian Williams. Click
here to RSVP and learn about what it is like to serve as a judge.
We hope to see you this week, and of course look forward to seeing you at our
Annual Gala on March 2, 2018.
Onward,
Ashley Pellouchoud

BALIF & The BALIF Foundation
