On November 15, 2003, Burbank Police Officer Matthew Pavelka lost his life while serving the city of Burbank. A flagpole and commemorative plaque will be installed to honor his bravery and sacrifice. The flagpole will stand as a symbol of respect and gratitude towards Officer Pavelka and his family. An event to honor Officer Pavelka's memory will be held at 2:30 p.m. on November 15, 2023, in Johnny Carson Park. The Burbank Police Foundation invites members of BAOR and the community to attend. This event will provide an opportunity to honor his contribution and pay tribute to his courageous spirit. The Burbank Association of REALTORS Community Service Foundation (BAOR CSF) has generously donated $5,000 to the Matthew Pavelka flagpole memorial, a testament to the community's unwavering appreciation for those who serve and protect us. |
