One thing we learned at the Inman Conference 2019, is to create your real estate world, your sphere of influence, your market (clients & customers, your farming area) around your passions and your family life.

Focus your marketing efforts into activities you and your family enjoy. Love to bowl? Sponsor a bowling league and participate in their end of year parties. Bowl with your family while asserting your presence.

Don't just sponsor your son or daughter's little league team. Keep the team stats, take photos and send as a newsletter to all the parents of the team members. Offer the opposing team the pics and stats- introduce yourself to the coach. Send him/her the stats newsletter and ask them to share. Make sure your marketing message aligns with the newsletter & the team, "hit a home run when selling your home". The key is to align your passion with your market.

A growing number of class action lawsuits are claiming that automated text messages fall under the restrictions imposed by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, a 1991 law that was enacted to curb unsolicited sales calls. In the class action lawsuits, lawyers say the marketing texts, if they’re sent using auto-dialing technology, fall under the TCPA restriction.
Get upfront written consent to anyone you send marketing texts to.

Rookie Tip: Overcoming Pricing Objections

If you are offering a CMA without analysis you will have a hard time overcoming pricing objections. Your CMA should include use of similar expired listings and their price point (like homes that did not sell) and also an analysis of the most popular price point in the neighborhood with a similar home. Use the median price point (not the average) from your Paragon data.
