Focus your marketing efforts into activities you and your family enjoy. Love to bowl? Sponsor a bowling league and participate in their end of year parties. Bowl with your family while asserting your presence.
Don't just sponsor your son or daughter's little league team. Keep the team stats, take photos and send as a newsletter to all the parents of the team members. Offer the opposing team the pics and stats- introduce yourself to the coach. Send him/her the stats newsletter and ask them to share. Make sure your marketing message aligns with the newsletter & the team, "hit a home run when selling your home". The key is to align your passion with your market.
