BARD MUSIC FESTIVAL

BERLIOZ AND HIS WORLD

WEEKEND TWO

AUGUST 16-18, 2024

The mission of THE BARD MUSIC FESTIVAL is “to promote new ways of understanding the history of music to a contemporary audience". This summer, the festival will focus on HECTOR BERLIOZ. Six concerts, each preceded by a talk, will take place mostly in the Frank Gehry-designed RICHARD B. FISHER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, or in OLIN HALL, another building on the campus of BARD COLLEGE. Since 2013, EXCURSIONS FROM THE SQUARE has taken a deep dive into the worlds of Stravinsky, Schubert, Puccini, Chopin, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Korngold. This summer we will travel again to the Hudson Valley for WEEKEND TWO: BERLIOZ AND HIS WORLD.
