BASF Canada and Bullfrog Power have partnered to produce The Afterlife of Waste, a documentary on the topic of the circular economy, featuring interviews with Bob Masterson, President and CEO of CIAC, and Marcelo Lu former President of BASF Canada, as well as representatives from Club Coffee, Deloitte, Ecosafe, Loblaw Companies Limited, London Drugs, Sodexo and the Circular Economy Innovation Council. The documentary will launch in Fall 2021.

NOVA Chemicals announced this week that Senior Vice President, Operations and Innovation, and former CIAC Board Member, Arnel Santos will depart the company, effective May 21. “Arnel’s deep understanding of the industry and enthusiasm for promoting our sector will be greatly missed at CIAC,” said Bob Masterson, President and CEO of CIAC. “We thank Arnel for all his work with us and wish him luck in the future.”

This week, during Emergency Preparedness Week, the Board of Directors for Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER), the Industrial Educational Cooperative (IEC) and Sarnia-Lambton Environmental Association (SLEA) announced the launch of the Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (BASES).
