BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT

Thursday, July 27th

Kindergarten - 9:00-10:00am

Grades 1-12 - 3:00-7:00pm

Our Back to School event for grades 1-12 will be held Open House style. This event is a chance for students to receive their class element assignment and find out who their teachers are this upcoming year. Families will have a chance to drop off their Required Forms packet, pick up their school folder with important information, class schedule, locker, and communication journal, meet their teachers, drop off personal supplies at their assigned locker or cubby, and explore the campus. We’ll also have PikMyKid car placards available for pick up as well as an info table to answer questions, an opportunity to purchase school spirit t-shirts and so much more! In addition, there will be frozen ice cream treats for purchase.

To allow ample parking, please sign up for the time slot that you and your child can arrive. When signing up for your half hour block, QUANTITY should equal the NUMBER OF STUDENTS that attend BASIS Mesa and please list the student(s) name & grade in the comment box. Due to capacity and parking, we kindly ask that families adhere to their 30 minute time slot.

KINDERGARTEN - 12TH SUPPLY LISTS

Please note, there could be additional supplies required once your child receives their class syllabus.

When attending our Back to School Event, please park in the school parking lot, the south dirt lot, or along Eastmark Parkway. Please do not park along the Fire Lane in the front of the school.

Families should enter through the West Sibling Courtyard gate (near the gym).

Each year, we ask our families (new and returning) to complete a "Required Forms" packet to be turned in prior to the first day of school. This packet includes important information required by the school to keep on file for each student and can be accessed by clicking the link below.

The packet is an important part of the event and will need to either be turned in to the front office ahead of time (to receive your Fast Pass) or completed and brought with you to turn in at the event. Students will not be able to pick up their schedule unless the packet has been completed and turned in.

***Please be sure to print these forms one-sided when printing for completion***

LOCKER COMBO 101
Students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to visit their assigned locker and practice using their BASIS issued lock during the Back to School event.

In addition, locker and lock procedures will be reviewed with students during the first days of school.

BASIS Mesa uses the Master brand of combination locks; if your student would like to practice with the same style of lock, these can be found at Amazon or most retail stores.

All students are required to use the lock issued by BASIS Mesa; they cannot bring locks from home.

Here are the steps to opening a combination lock for any students who would like to practice at home over the summer!
