Upcoming BASSET Training

It's been awhile since our last BASSET class, so you may be in need of your 3-year recertification. BDI will be offering a BASSET training class in the next few weeks as detailed below. Illinois law mandates servers and sellers of alcoholic beverages be re-certified every 3 years, so don't miss this chance.

As usual, courses are free to employees of ILBA (Illinois Licensed Beverage Association) member businesses. For employees of non-member businesses, the cost is $25 per attendee.

The details:

Wednesday, April 21st
2:00 pm
Cottage Hills VFW
121 S. Williams Street
Cottage Hills, IL 62018

Pre-registration for this class is not necessary.

Classes are 3-4 hours long with a test at the end. Attendees only need bring a pen or pencil, along with payment, if necessary. Cash or check is accepted, payable at check-in.

If you are new to the industry, the Culinary & Hospitality Modernization Act passed in the summer of 2015 mandated liquor training for employees at liquor licensed establishments with on-premises consumption who poured or served alcohol or who checked IDs. BASSET training is mandatory in all Illinois counties.

Since our BASSET program was approved by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission several years ago, we have helped train over 2300 individuals. Whether you have a few new hires that need to get their training done in their first 120 days of employment or are a BASSET veteran whose 3-year certification needs re-upped, don't let this opportunity pass you by.

Don't let the training slip your mind. Check our BASSET Training page for the specifics on these upcoming classes and how to register. If these dates and times don't work for you, you can join our wait-list to be notified of additional classes in the future by submitting your contact info here.
