Ethics guides leaders to tell the truth, keep promises, or help someone in need. There is a framework of ethics that guides each of us every day, and there is a framework that guides our nonprofits.

When there are lapses in ethics and accountability, nonprofits can be brought into the limelight unfavorably. Having a strong structure of ethics is the best way to keep public trust.
