Aaron's Legislative Update!

Several pieces of key legislation continue through the legislative process. One of those important items is SB 161, please see this analysis from our friends at Holland & Hart and show your support.

The assembly will soon be reviewing the Governor's tax proposal. We continue to analyze the options, impacts and potential outcomes for the industry. Look for more info and a call to action in the coming weeks...

Workforce Development

The primary focus of our outreach efforts continues to be Workforce Development, and a crucial part of this comes from our members. We have been reaching out to find out what your future hiring needs might be. Please take the time to respond to our phone calls, emails and complete our survey questions. This information is vital for us as we work with state and local organizations and move forward with our efforts. For those of you who have already responded, THANK YOU!

We still have a couple of career days left on our schedule: Pine Middle School in Reno and Cold Springs Middle School in Cold Springs.

We have been active with local Workforce Development groups such as the Northern Nevada Workforce Consortium and the Carson Valley Workforce Development Committee and we continue to work with groups like EDAWN and NNDA to anticipate and address our future workforce needs.

On Friday, April 24th BAWN and 160 of our members and friends braved the cold and took over the Coors Light Party Zone at the Reno Aces Ballpark to cheer on the Reno Aces vs. the Las Vegas 51s. Everyone showed amazing team spirit and we are already looking forward to hosting more events like this...
