All,
We regret to pass on to you that long-time Baytown Assistant Chief and Fire Marshal Bernard Olive died yesterday - his death occurred on duty.

Chief Olive was the most tenured member of the fire department, having been with the city just shy of 49 years; three years with public works and 45-plus years with the Baytown Fire Department.

Chief Olive is survived by his beloved wife Kathy, his daughter Martha and son-in-law Tim, his granddaughter Kathryn and the thousands of Firefighters he impacted in both Baytown and Texas A & M Municipal Fire School where he taught for 37 years.

Funeral arrangements are pending. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.

Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
