Wine Tasting
Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018
4 to 6 p.m.

Here we go. It'll be the end of October, the leaves will be gone, and we can only say, "Let's have a glass of wine by the fire, and read a good book." We've got a pretty relaxed tasting coming up, a few old favorites you might want to re-acquaint yourself with, along with some terrific new wines, all at wicked good prices. Our friend Dan Tarr, of Easterly Wine, will return to BookStacks to pour, talk about the wines, and answer your questions.  My best friend, Mrs. Lacher, will help out again with her delicious munchies to pare with the wines. So it all ought to be just super

October 26-28, 2018
comedy/romance

PG-13

The story follows native New Yorker Rachel Chu (Wu) as she accompanies her boyfriend, Nick Young (Golding), to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick's family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. It turns out that he is not only the scion of one of the country's wealthiest families but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick's arm puts a target on Rachel's back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick's own disapproving mother (Yeoh) taking aim. And it soon becomes clear that while money can't buy love, it can definitely complicate things. Based on the Best Selling novel.
