MEET BIG SISTER SUZANNE &
LITTLE SISTER LA'NYGIA
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County is pleased to recognize Big Sister Suzanne as the Volunteer of the Month for May of 2020. Suzanne works for the UW-Division of Recreation Sports as an Assistant Director of Operations. Suzanne and her Little Sister La'NyGia have been matched for a little over a year and have already made so many memories together.

When they first met, Big Sister Suzanne and Little Sister La'NyGia enjoyed choreographing dance routines together, taking Suzanne's dog for long walks and teaching her dog new tricks! They enjoyed going downtown to take in the city life and even went water skiing together! From making arts and crafts, relaxing at home, to getting loud and cheering on the Badgers at basketball games, these two have already grown so much as a Match.

During this time of social distancing, Suzanne and La'NyGia have been regularly hanging out virtually over video chats and playing games together online. They are always connected regardless of what obstacles arise.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is very thankful for all of our Bigs, like Suzanne, who continue to virtually be there for their Littles during these trying times.

2019 ANNUAL REPORT
#KEEPKIDSCONNECTED
Over the past few months, we've experienced things like none of us have ever experienced before. With social distancing in effect, Bigs and Littles have turned to creative ways to stay connected at a distance. Many Bigs and Littles have turned their outings into virtual activities. Like Big Brother Dan and his Little Brother Kordell who take time to see each other over FaceTime every week and discuss a book that they are reading together.
Connecting virtually isn't always an option for everyone. So Big Couple Ron and Kerri turned to connecting with their Little Brother Kholton in a different way. After finding out that Kholton's favorite food was taco's, they decided to make taco's for Kholton and his entire family! Whatever it may be, Bigs and Littles are staying connected in new and creative ways.

Mentoring isn't cancelled. Our mission is more important than ever.
