Announcement: Big Brother and Big Sister of the year!
Congratulations to our Big Brother of the Year: David!

Little Brother Ty and Big Brother David were matched on November 10th, 2017. Throughout their 3.5 years of being matched, their mentorship has grown into a great friendship. David has really helped Ty through some of his toughest experiences in life, and says he is proud to be a consistent good male role model in Ty's life.

Ty and David have done a lot of amazing activities together from going to King's games and BBBS holiday parties, to reading and discussing the same book. Covid-19 created many difficulties for many youth and our matches, but througout Ty and David stayed connected through phone calls at least once a week!

Congratulations, David, you are an awesome Big Brother!
Congratulations to our Big Sister of the Year: Vanessa!

Little Sister A'vonti and Big Sister Vanessa were matched 3 years ago this month in our Bigs with Badges program.

They are a huge inspiration for our other matches with their creativity. Before Covid, they were helping promote the Bigs with Badges program by engaging other probation officers and encouraging the to become Bigs. Since Covid-19, they had to get even more creative with their outings, such as going to Quarry Park Adventures, doing a scavengers hunt around Sacramento, and going to Smash Sacramento!

Not only are they always having a blast together, they have the kindest hearts, and love giving back to the community together.

Congratulations Vanessa, you're an all-star!

We Need Your Help!
BBBS Greater Sacramento needs to get the word out! As one of our most dedicated supporters, you understand the importance of BBBS in our community. Young people count on us to support and empower them to strive for reaching their full potential – after all, defending potential is what we are all about!

We are working hard to get our message out to even more future supporters and potential mentors – and that’s where you can help! We noticed some of our online reviews are a few years old and could use some updating. Would you be able to take a few minutes to share about your experience with BBBS Greater Sacramento as a board member, donor, volunteer or Big?  Your stories are so valuable and we appreciate you taking the time to share them online!
Some Thank-yous are in order!
Our local Kohl's in Folsom reached out to help BBBSGreaterSac, and volunteered at the Fruit Ridge Community Collaborative Spring Forward event. Thanks to these employees generously donating their time, Kohl's Cares donates to BBBS for each hour their employee's spend volunteering! We look forward to partnering again soon!
Big THANK YOU to The Playmakers for hosing a movie night for the matches! The afternoon was full of crafts, games, eating pizza, and watching the movie UP! - our matches and families had a blast!
What are matches up to?
It's important to get some fresh air! Little Brother Kamarion and Big Brother David went to the Sacramento Zoo, who graciously donated tickets to some of our matches!
It's starting to get hot out there! After the Playmakers Movie Night, Little Sister Jayana and Big Sister Stephanie stopped to get some ice cream. It looks pretty delicious if we say so ourselves!
Happy Anniversary to our February, March, and April Matches!
