We had a magical time at the Concord Christmas parade! There were smiles all around as music filled the air. This year's theme was Bringing Joy to the children of Cabarrus County. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Our High School Bigs had an exciting day yesterday! Two pharmacy students from CVS Health came in to share about medication safety. We were blown away by how much our Littles already know about using medication safely. Thank you, CVS Health, for providing this opportunity to our matches!
Our matches had a fun time at our Cabarrus Holiday party playing
putt-putt golf at Jocko’s Mini Golf. Jocko made an appearance, gifts were passed out, and joy was shared by all.

Meet Leslie Christy. Leslie is a Match Support Specialist at BBBSCC, and we are excited to spotlight her this month!

As a Match Support Specialist, Leslie's work involves supporting the matches and helping them to be successful. Including her work for BBBSCC, she has worked in mentoring programs for 20 years. After completing an internship with BBBSCC, she realized this is the place she wants to be.

One of Leslie's favorite things about working at Big Brothers Big Sisters is communicating with the Littles' families and the volunteers. Leslie has many special memories here at BBBSCC. She loves seeing pictures of matches at the Littles' graduations. Leslie shares, "it's so great to see the Littles, their families, and sometimes even their Bigs stand together and celebrate such a big milestone."

Her favorite quote is, “Little moments lead to Big Magic,” and this is reflected in the match relationships she forms every day. Over the years, Leslie has had many mentors and leaders influence her, and that continues today. She mentioned, "Working at BBBSCC has connected me to many valuable relationships." She believes mentoring is a meaningful friendship that shapes you over time and helps you become your best self.

Congratulations to Leslie, a BBBSCC Spotlight Employee of the Month!
Meet Stacy Greene. Stacy is BBBSCC’s new Director of Development & Marketing, and we are excited to spotlight her this month!

Stacy has over 25 years of nonprofit development experience. After her initial foray into “friend-raising” in the early 80’s to raise funds for Jerry Lewis’s kids, Stacy went on to be the founder of her college sorority. Stacy previously worked for the national office of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and most recently Turning Point, Inc., before relocating to Charlotte.

As the youngest Executive Director at the American Cancer Society, Stacy was fortunate to be mentored by their Senior Vice President. Her mentor taught her to lead by example and not only a good leader but also a good human. BBBSCC is incredibly fortunate to have Stacy advocating for our organization’s families and volunteers by developing relationships with those who feel as strongly as she does about our mission.

Congratulations to Stacy, a BBBSCC Spotlight Employee of the Month!
