AUGUST 2020 EDITION
Community-Based Big of the Month
Congratulations to our August Community-Based Big of the Month, Keeshan Brown!

How do you fit being a Big into your busy schedule?

"Fitting Koco into my life over the last two years has come naturally. Yes, we both have different things going on in life, but her family and I have always managed to find time for each other. Whether it's an ice cream date or attending the movies. I was always told "People make time for who they want and when they want", and having her as a part of my family is a want that will always be a necessity in my life."

What are you most proud of in your match?

"Within my match, I’m most proud of the connection between Koco, her family, and I have developed. To be able to meet a complete stranger and develop a lifetime relationship is astounding. She’s the little sister I wish I had!"

What is your favorite part about being a Big?

"I would honestly have to say my favorite part about being a Big, are all the teachable moments we share and the memories we have created together."

Thank you for being a wonderful mentor Keeshan!

Congratulations to our August
Site-Based Big of the Month,
Sheryl Kluge !

How do you fit being a Big into your busy schedule?

" It really isn’t hard to fit seeing my little into my schedule. I enjoy having lunch once a week and utilize my lunch time from work. I visit my little sister the same day every week and let her know if something comes up that I have to change the day."

What are you most proud of in your match?

"I am most proud of my little Alana for working hard and improving her reading. We read together during our lunchtime. I sent her a book in the early stages of COVID-19, and we would discuss what we read on our calls. I love that Alana is comfortable enough to call me to say Hi. I can’t wait for school to begin so, I can hopefully see her again".

Thank you for being a wonderful mentor Sheryl
