AN APEX ACCELERATOR CAN HELP MOVE YOUR INNOVATION FORWARD | |
The Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) was first authorized by Congress in 1985 to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in the government marketplace. The centers that execute the services for the PTAP have recently changed the name of the program to Apex Accelerators. It still offers the same excellent services, just under a new name.
The Apex Accelerators program is a great resource to make government opportunities more accessible to small businesses—and most services are free of charge. The program assists businesses in 49 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas, and in regions established by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Apex Accelerators (then known as PTACs) were formerly housed at the Defense Logistics Agency until October 1, 2022, when the program officially moved to the Department of Defense under the administration of the Office of Small Business Programs. Along with the name change they also have a new website. You can find information about PTACS/APEX Accelerators at www.aptac-us.org/ and their new website www.apexaccelerators.us/#/.
