Andrew George

Senior VP of Live Event

Experience and Operations,

TMRW Sports

Andrew George is the new Senior Vice President of Live Event Experience and Operations for TMRW Sports/TGL. Previously, he was the Executive Director of the Classic in the Palm Beaches. George joined The Honda Classic as an intern in 2009, and brings nearly 15 years experience to his new role. While his duties with TMRW Sports will be similar, one major difference

will be managing an event with a

much smaller capacity that is staged one day a week over 15 weeks instead of one week a year.

"I'm excited about having a chance to look at every week to tweak and get better all the things that we're putting together on site versus having a four-day event and having a whole year to think and stew about it."

The new golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will be played on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens. TGL's launch has been delayed one year to January 2025 after the venue's roof collapsed several weeks ago.

Joie Chitwood

Interim Executive Director,

The Classic in the Palm Beaches,

PGA TOUR

Joie Chitwood, Executive Director of the 2026 Presidents Cup for the PGA TOUR, was recently named interim Executive Director of The Classic in the Palm Beaches for the 2024 event.

“While the tournament is entering an exciting new era, my goal is to continue building on the strong foundation in place, and fully immerse myself into the Palm Beach County community. Our goal is to deliver a premier event for our partners, fans, players, and volunteers, while ensuring the longstanding tradition of PGA TOUR golf in South Florida continues to flourish.”

Previously, the bulk of Chitwood’s extensive career in the sports industry has been in motorsports, working for Indy Racing League, Chicagoland Speedway and Daytona International Speedway.

The Palm Beach North Education Foundation is asking for your support through donating $20 or more to guess the number of birdies that will be made at the 2024 The Classic in The Palm Beaches.
