PrideFest Capitol Hill: Any Final Feedback?

Several of you chimed in last month when we sent out a request for feedback on PrideFest Capitol Hill, but if any other of you want to give your comments/critiques/suggestions, it will go a long way towards planning for 2019, which will be bigger than ever with the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots that kicked off the modern gay rights movement.

This survey takes just 2 minutes and it's for any business, whether you got one of the free BBIA spots, booked your own, or were just running your business as normal that day.

Thanks for your help!

Your Ratepayer Dollars Hard at Work:

The Broadway BIA has a contract with Recology StreetScapes to sweep the sidewalks, remove graffiti,  bio -hazards and posters 7 days a week. If you see a problem (overflowing garbage or graffiti, for example), use the info at the bottom of this and every BBIA e-mail to call Recology. It's an easy and quick way to get issues resolved. If you're experiencing an ongoing issue near your business, you can always reach out to us directly (just reply to this e-mail).

The next walk-through is on Wednesday, August 8 at 11:30. Meet outside the Light Rail Station entrance at John/Broadway. This week Mel from the Chamber and Sean from Recology will be your guides. Having ongoing problems? This is one great way to get attention to them.

Here is a side by side comparison of June 2017 and 2018 clean up stats. We are seeing a sustained increase in graffiti and sharps/biohazards into the summer months:

Please contact customer service 24/7 at   or call   (206) 859-6700 to report graffiti, illegal dumping, sharps and biohazards.  Graffiti should be removed within 24 hours and sharps and biohazards will be removed in three hours.
