Flood Watch National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 225 PM MST Mon Feb 4 2019  Yavapai County Mountains-Northern Gila County- Yavapai County Valleys and Basins-Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons- Including the cities of Prescott, Seligman, Ash Fork, Payson, Strawberry, Young, Cottonwood, Camp Verde, Cordes Junction, Bagdad, and Sedona 225 PM MST Mon Feb 4 2019 ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM MST THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Arizona and west central Arizona, including the following areas, in east central Arizona, Northern Gila County. In west central Arizona, Oak Creek and Sycamore Canyons, Yavapai County Mountains, and Yavapai County Valleys and Basins. * From 11 PM MST this evening through Wednesday afternoon * Another wet winter weather system will bring moisture to northern Arizona Tonight through Wednesday. While most of the precipitation will fall as snow over the higher elevations, heavy rainfall amounts over already saturated parts of Yavapai and northern Gila county could create localized flash flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch Means That Developing Conditions May Lead To Flash Flooding Within The Watch area. People...especially those located along area creeks...rivers or other flash flood prone areas...should continue to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should flash flood warnings be issued.
