Falling for You!

Summer was a double-edged sword this year. We had lots of sunshine and long, languorous evenings. Yet our hearts were with our members in wildfire zones and with all the vulnerable people suffering from extreme heat and wildfire smoke. As these conditions will likely last a few more weeks, be sure to read our tips on staying safe and healthy.

September’s learning opportunities include Protect What’s Yours!, a Provincial Learning Event about the top fraud trends aimed at seniors and how to avoid being victimized. At the end of the month is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and National Seniors Day. What will you do in your community? Let us know – we’d love to feature your events!

CRNs IN THE COMMUNITY

CRN Summer Highlights: Fire & Heat Preparedness Workshops and First Nations Gathering

July and August bring warm summer days and late nights. Summer is usually the time of year to slow down, catch up with friends and travel a bit. Or is it? Our CRNs have been making the most of the fair weather and connecting with their communities by hosting wildfire and extreme heat preparedness workshops, attending a First Nations elders’ gathering and other events.
