Catching Cost being removed from Live Price
EFFECTIVE in MARCH 2026
The Board announced last week that it will permanently remove the Catching cost line from both the BC Cost of Production (COP) formula and the BC Live Price, effective in the quota period after the full update of the BC COP formula. Temporary Changes to Under- and Over- Marketing Sleeves
EFFECTIVE A-199, A-200, A-201
The board acknowledges the challenges regarding hatching egg and chick supply due to the HPAI outbreak and other natural events. More specifically, if shortages occur, there is no direct compensation for this complication.
The Board is actively working with industry stakeholders to find solutions.
To provide some relief, the Board is implementing temporary changes to the Under- and Over- Marketing levies. These will stand as temporary amendments to the General Orders for Period A-199, A-200, and A-201.
