A MESSAGE FROM THE IEO


Ray Nickel’s three-year term as an elected member of the

BC Chicken Marketing Board expires in March of 2025.

 An election is being held to fill the position. 

Emails were sent today to all growers by Della Oberhoffner from the BC Council of Marketing Boards (BCCOMB). Please ensure her email address is in your contact list, so the emails do not go into spam.

Her email address is office@bccoga.ca.

The BCCOMB is BCCMB’s Independent Election Officer (IEO) to oversee the election and certify the results. If you have any questions regarding this year’s election, please contact the IEO at office@bccoga.ca or directly at 778-242-0285.

IAFBC Food Safety Program


The Food Safety Program (FSP) is accepting applications for

2025/26 projects!

FSP seeks to increase adoption of new or improving existing food safety practices and systems by BC on-farm and BC post-farm businesses to enable the BC agrifood sector to meet existing and new national and international food safety regulatory requirements.

Two funding streams are available: On-Farm and Post-Farm.

 

Applications are open until funding is fully committed.

BC COMB - Talk Ask Listen


BC COMB is hosting a free Talk, Ask, Listen Workshop in partnership with The Do More Agriculture Foundation on Thursday, March 6th, from 10 am to 2 pm.

This producer-centered workshop, led by Dr. Merle Massie, blends practical farm experience with mental health insights and lived experience. It will be held in-person at the Red Barn in Abbotsford (1767 Angus Campbell Road) and online via Zoom, with lunch provided for in-person attendees.

Registrants can choose to attend in person or online, and all participants will receive a workbook—electronically for online attendees and in print for those in person.
