Message from our Executive Director

As we head into the busy holiday season we have a chance to reflect on this past year.  The Foundation went through a lot of changes but the one thing that remained constant was the support of our very loyal donors, event participants, board members and volunteers.
Looking ahead to 2018 we have a big wish list! I hope that Santa is listening :)

All of what we wish for ultimately relies on the BC Hospitality Foundation reaching out further into our industry as well as across the province. We know that there are so many more hospitality industry workers that could use our support and we want to reach them.
Please help us to continue to promote our activities, join us as a volunteer or consider giving a gift to wrap up the year.
Wishing you, your colleagues and your loved ones a very safe and happy holiday season!

Rowena Veylan,
Executive Director

Beneficiary Update

Our Beneficiaries are always very thankful

"I just wanted to thank you and your board for the generous gift.
I'm feeling very humble and just want to make sure you know I am
willing to do whatever you need to help other people. Just ask."

Since the fall update, we have been busy helping 7 amazing individuals!

This year we have surpassed $111,000 in support to beneficiaries.

Looking back at 2017, it is interesting to see that more than 50% of the beneficiaries were servers, while 20% were housekeepers and 20% cooks and bartenders combined.

Our statistics also show that over 50% of the beneficiaries were located in Vancouver, 40% were spread out between Victoria and the rest of Vancouver Island and 10% from the Thompson Okanagan.

We need to continue to spread the word throughout the Province.

Who do you know that we can help?
