BCHS Innovation Lab Makes Camper Parts for Local Resident
Bloom-Carroll resident Janet Copen and her husband were in the process of building a camper when they realized they needed spacers for their hinges. Mrs. Copen decided to contact Mr. Conrad, BCHS High School Principal, to see if students in the STEM Innovation Lab could help her and her husband with the spacers.

BCHS Junior Matt Berry took on the task and designed the spacers for the Copen's camper. Once complete, Matt followed up with the Copens to give them their spacers and did a presentation on the tensile strength and heat resistance factors he had to consider when designing the spacers. The Copens were very pleased with the final product and said "job well done BC!"
Students in the STEM Innovation Lab are now designing customized graduation banners for BC Seniors! Each banner measures 28x52 inches and comes complete with four grommets for easy hanging. The cost is $50 per banner.

Bloom-Carroll Intermediate School Poetry Café Day
On April 30th, Bloom-Carroll Intermediate School celebrated National Poetry month by hosting a Poetry Cafe for all 3rd and 4th graders. Students had the opportunity to stand in front of their peers and read a poem of their choice. The event was complete with jazz music and refreshments. Great job BCIS!
