Grandparents' Day Program

Fri., Mar. 8

Please tell your child's grandparents to mark their calendars for Fri., March 8 for our annual Grandparents' Day from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for all students, infants - 8th grade. We will send invitations next week.

From BCA Music teacher, Dr. Sarah Harr:

Students are preparing for the musical program that will take place in the gym that morning.

The theme for National Lutheran Schools Week is "Connected to God," and the theme of the program, based on prayer, is called "Praying for Others," from James 5:13-16. (Learn more about the National Lutheran Schools Week theme).

See the NLSW activities that the students will take part in each day for March 4 - 8.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Students have a song sheet that has both the music and the words for the song they are singing for the program. Below are the YouTube links for the songs, so they can practice at home or on the go.

They are expected to attend the program on March 8 (mandatory for their music semester grade) and have their respective song memorized in advance of the program.
