BCAG Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by Patronizing our Pink Partners!

In honor of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of Monterey County (BCAG) is once again partnering with local businesses to raise funds and awareness to enable BCAG to help local breast cancer patients experiencing financial hardship due to their diagnosis and treatment.

One hundred percent of every dollar donated through BCAG's “Pink Partner” promotions with local businesses will go to help breast cancer patients with food, housing, utilities, transportation, and other daily-living costs. During the past year BCAG awarded more than $116,000 to 77 local women.

BCAG is encouraging the public to show their support for helping the local community by patronizing the following businesses, participating in their special events and purchasing “Pink Partner” merchandise.

We're very excited to welcome Quail Lodge & Golf Club as a BCAG Pink Partner! Quail has been a long time supporter of breast cancer research and will once again join the global effort to raise awareness on breast cancer through its " Quail in Pink" initiative.

This year all fundraising proceeds will be donated to BCAG! Details on special events, including the "Quail in Pink" Afternoon Tea, the "Quail in Pink " Drive for the Cause guided motoring rally and Horsepower Happy Hour, Signature "Pretty in Pink" Vodka Cocktail, "Quail in Pink" embroidered apparel and accessories, and other specialty items for sale in the Golf Shop, Edgar’s Restaurant and Waypoint Bar & Deck can be found by visiting Quail in Pink

McIntyre Vineyards will once again hold its popular “Barre, Boobs & Bubbles” class on Friday, October 19 ^th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the McIntyre Tasting Room at The Crossroads in Carmel.

The class will be taught by Arianne Bautista, owner of CarmelBarre . All proceeds will be donated to BCAG.

In addition, McIntyre will donate 15% of sales revenue for purchases of 2017 Rosé of Pinot Noir wine throughout the month of October.

One of our favorite restaurants, Bill Quon's SUR at the Barnyard, is donating 20% of every dollar spent by customers for lunch or dinner (even 10% at Happy Hour!) thoughout the month of October.

To take advantage of this special offer please print out the SUR coupon and present it to your server when you pay your bill. This is a fantastic opportunity to eat at a great restaurant and an easy way to make a great donation to BCAG!

Carmel Valley Athletic Club will throw its annual "Party in Pink" on October 20th from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m. This is a club-wide event open to members and non-members that donates all of the proceeds to BCAG. Members and guests who donate $20 or more will receive their own “Party in Pink” merchandise and will be able to utilize the club for the rest of the day. In addition, The Refuge outdoor relaxation spa will donate 10% from all gift certificates purchased throughout the month of October and $5 for every Deluxe Admission purchased on October 20 ^th .

Scheid Vineyards will donate 15% of October sales from its award-winning Pinot Noir Rosé to BCAG. Enjoy this wine with lightly cooked salmon or tuna, ﬁsh tacos, salads, an array of cheeses or as the perfect afternoon refresher. Not just for summer sipping, the delights of Rosé are meant to be enjoyed year-round.

It's not too early to mark your calendar for BCAG's 17th annual Bowl-a-thon! The event will take place on March 23rd, 2019, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Monterey Bowling Lanes.

The Pacific Grove High School Associated Student Body will once again co-sponsored the event in memory of 2008 graduate, Isabelle McKay Giacalone. All proceeds will be designated for grants to assist young mothers being treated for breast cancer.
