Hello All in our Bowling Family,
Wednesday, October 26th. I finally have 30 minutes to sit down and write my newsletter article. It is chilly and rainy on this October fall morning. Sooo much stuff to do and it seems like very little time to do it in. It is that time of year that I wish I could clone myself just to keep track of everything that's happening and making sure that everything gets done the way I would like. I bet most of us feel that way bout this time of the year. LOL On a serious note, as we get into full swing with our bowling, darts, pool, food, etc. We have to schedule time for ourselves at least once a week. Time for what you say? Something like 1-2 hours a week (outside of routine office work) for yourself to focus on the planning of activities and promotions in and around your center. Like, put it in your calendar every week at a certain time or you will never make it happen. (Maybe include your top employee?) If we drop the ball on promos, then it directly affects your bottom line. Along with taking time for promos, don't forget about engaging your staff with feedback on things that have happened or future things going on, in and around your center. Such as events, customer relations, some very light financial data, etc. Keeping employees abreast on a daily/weekly basis means they are more likely to have a sense of ownership and be more productive in the future.
Last but not least, don't forget about our BCAW Annual Meeting, Conference & Trade Show at Village Bowl in Menomonee Falls on December 5th & 6th. We have some great things planned for you and your employees. The information and products you will receive should more than pay for your time away from your center. Plus, you should be back to your center by mid afternoon. Let's keep the ball rolling. A whopping, 199 members strong!

As many of the proprietors in Wisconsin know, I left QubicaAMF after 12 years in October of 2015 to pursue an opportunity to own my own business as a State Farm agent. After a six month training period and getting fully licensed, I began work in the office, and while I was immediately successful, my family and I learned very quickly that the evening and weekend hours that would be required to sustain long term success in the insurance industry simply could not work for our family. That, combined with the financial sacrifice it would take over the next 4-5 years to build a successful business, made our decision a pretty easy one - we simply couldn't continue with State Farm. Luckily, I left on very good terms with QubicaAMF last fall, and the timing was right for my return as we realigned some territories, and I assumed my same position with QubicaAMF on September 1, 2016.
I have learned some very important and life-changing lessons over the last year, both personally and from a business standpoint from an incredible Fortune 50 company. I have an even more profound respect and admiration for our customers, . . .
