Consultation for Proposed Changes to Election Rules
BCCMB has completed consultation regarding proposed changes to the election rules with the BC Chicken Growers Association. All BC chicken growers are encouraged to review our revised election rules and associated documents available on our website
Chicken Sector Pricing Review Process
On July 17, 2020, the BC Chicken Marketing Board and BC Broiler Hatching Egg Commision requested the BC Farm Industry Review Board to provide more clarity on the decision making responsibility and authority of the boards. Read more
Quota Utilization Update
For periods A-162 and A-163, our quota utilization averaged 101.95% This means that for this two period CFC allocation block, BC will not be in a monetary overmarketing position nationally. Monetary penalties begin when a province exceeds the average of 102% over an even odd (example A-162 and A-163) two period allocation block.
New Team Member
We are pleased to welcome Kelci Leuzinger to our staff effective July 20 as a member of our Field Services Team. Kelci comes to us with an extensive resume in agriculture, most recently as a member of the sales staff at Ritchie Smith Feeds.
