May is in full swing and so are many of our exciting end of year activities. Our 5th graders did a great job of representing BCE on Tuesday at Chaska High School for an all district 5th grade Track and Field Day. We are very proud of them and they are definitely ready for the middle school. Tomorrow our entire school is looking forward to participating in our BCE Field day during the specialist times.
We can't wait to keep celebrating a great year for the next couple of weeks!

BCE Lemonade Stand will be hosted by 3rd graders. H2O for Life will get all the profits. We want to give an elementary a clean water and toilets to support Global Goal #6: Clean Water & Sanitation. Lemonade will be sold during recess to the whole school. Please support H20 for Life by sending .25 cents on May 25th with your child.

Carver County COVID-19
community levels is listed as “Medium” under the new CDC measurement tool.
Our district is also experiencing a moderate amount of positive cases on a daily basis. Any time you are in public, you are likely being exposed to COVID-19. Since school is a public space, your child is likely being unknowingly exposed to COVID. While we are doing our best to let parents know when their child has a specific exposure, we are reaching a threshold to where we are unable to notify all of the close contacts. Please watch your child for symptoms and keep them home if they are sick. Even if they just have 1 symptom, we recommend testing. The school has test kits available in the main office, let us know if you want some to have on hand. If your child tests positive, please contact the building nurse.
Home COVID tests available
Our school has a number of at-home COVID tests for student use. If you would like a test to be sent home with your child to keep on hand, please contact the main office at 952-556-6600.
Eastern Carver County Schools takes the health and safety of its students and staff seriously. Barring any changes in guidance from state and federal health agencies, the following outlines how ECCS is navigating the 2021-22 school year. The district is taking a tiered intervention approach to its COVID-19 protocols. Layered protection strategies, including regular cleaning, reinforced hand washing and other hygiene practices, will continue to be used in buildings to reduce the risk of transmission.
