Craft Beer Tasting

As part of the BC Tourism and Hospitality Conference, we are excited to host a BC Craft Beer Tasting on Tuesday March 9th from 4:30 to 5:30pm PST (we will keep the Zoom call going after the session for anyone who wishes to socialize over their new-found favourite BC Craft beer!)

In this interactive and educational session, join Dave Pearson of Vancouver Island Brewing, a Certified Cicerone (Beer Sommelier), who will discuss three types of beer: Hazy IPA, Pilsner, and Porter/Stout/Dark Lager. Dave will also provide some insights into the history of beer, food & beer pairing, and proper beer serving etiquette.

Purchase a sample of each of the beer styles (Hazy IPA, Pilsner, and Porter/Stout/Dark Lager) from your favourite local craft brewery or local liquor store and join us for a great session.

We urgently need new member data to keep the pressure on Government to extend and expand its relief programs.
Please complete this 5-minute survey by Wednesday, March 3 at 5:00 P.M. ET. Our goal is 2,000 respondents to ensure a strong sample size.
This information will be fed into an economic roll up of the state of the industry for critical Government meetings later in the week, and it will form the basis of our planned media and campaign work.
Thank you in advance for making this a priority.
Recognizing there is a demand for our industry businesses to share their steps taken to keep residents and visitors safe and healthy as well as a need to inform visitors with what to expect when they are able to travel and visit BC, The Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) has invested in a series of videos that will act as public service announcements educating about the province’s health and safety protocols, what businesses are doing to ensure their customers, guests and future guests are safe and protected and to reiterate the provincial tourism marketing messaging “Know Before You Go”.

The Hotel sector was the first of four videos, with this Bars & Pubs video second, followed by Restaurants & Food Services and Attractions sectors to follow over the course of the next several weeks.
