BC Event Management has partnered with the
Harbour Convention Centre to host “Reconnect 2020”
Reconnect 2020 will be a model for safe and engaging event design in a COVID-19 world. BC Event Management has incorporated every possible safety measure into the event design.

  • The venue has a capacity of 2,500 guests and our design will accommodate 35 guests. When guests arrive at the venue, they will be greeted by COVID safety officers that will direct them into the venue.

  • Each guest will have their own furniture POD where they can hang their coat and get comfortable. These individual pods will include their personal food and beverage and complementary face shields and masks.

  • Throughout the massive venue will be floor signage indicating the location of networking bubbles where guests can interact with each other at a safe distance.

  • Every crew and staff will adorn personal protective equipment and hand sanitization stations will be located throughout the venue. The BC Event Management team will monitor every guest and ensure safety protocols are met and exceeded. Contact tracing of every guests will be done through the on-line registration system.

  • BC Event Management has worked with the City of Vancouver on the event design and Reconnect 2020 is the first event to receive the city’s approval for an in person since COVID-19.

The BCHF is a charity that supports hospitality workers facing financial crisis due to a health condition. These are the people who work in your favourite restaurants, wineries, breweries, bars, and hotels. Often with limited access to benefits or financial aid, our beneficiaries have nowhere else to turn if a health condition arises. Your support has a meaningful impact by getting them back on their feet again.
