NOTES FROM THE PRESIDENT
This week the
Chamber made grants to ten local businesse
s through our
Hardship Fund
. Thanks to the
generosity of the Senior Class at Bethlehem Central High School we will be able to make many more.
The
seniors donated $4000 to this fund.
Using money they had raised at the Homecoming Dance and through spirit wear sales, the Senior Council, which represents the students in
the senior class
donated to the Chamber and made a $6,000 donation to the South End Children's Cafe.
“The
district’s mission is built around four core values: academics, character, community and wellness
,” said
Superintendent Jody Monroe
. “This class has consistently demonstrated that they have embraced all four, and most memorably, in the way they giving back to others and supporting their community.”
High school principal David Doemel is proud of the example the Class of 2020 is setting.
"The class of 2020 continues to amaze me with their selfless acts and understanding of what is truly important,” he said. “They are models for us all and deserve to be celebrated for all they have done in their time at BCHS."
Businesses around town are showing their support for the Class of 2020 with congratulatory signs. Visit our
