The BCHS faculty and staff look forward to welcoming the Class of 2029 to the Trojan family!
Orientation for members of our freshman class will be held on Wednesday, August 6. After meeting Principal John Hasty, students will have the opportunity to walk their class schedule, have their school picture and class picture taken, and enjoy lunch (provided by Bishop Chatard) with their Senior Peer Minister. iPads will be issued to students who have not yet received their device. Students do not need to bring any school supplies with them to orientation.
Dress Code & School Photos
Please have your student wear his/her school uniform to orientation. Please complete and have your student bring this photo form with payment to orientation. All students, regardless of whether photos are purchased, are asked to complete the form and will have their picture taken.
Drop-Off
Drop-off is from 7:15 to 7:45 am. Parents are asked to enter campus from Kessler Boulevard, turn south on Crittenden Avenue, left on Northgate and enter the parking lot to drop off their student at Door 10 (athletic entrance in parking lot). We encourage parents to drop off their student on this first day, if possible. The welcome tradition at Bishop Chatard is something you won’t want to miss!
Pick-Up
Orientation will conclude at approximately 11:30 am for students who have already received their iPad. A 15-minute session will be held for students receiving iPads on orientation day, and those students will be released at approximately 11:45 am. Students may be picked up at Door 10 or on Crittenden Avenue.
First Full Day of Class - Thursday, August 7
The first full day of classes for the entire student body will be Thursday, August 7. Dress code for the day will be the class t-shirt received at orientation and uniform bottoms.
Watch your inbox for more information about policies and procedures for the upcoming year. Please continue to visit the Bishop Chatard website for the latest information. We look forward to seeing your student on August 6. Once again, welcome to Bishop Chatard!
