Financial Aid Information Night with INvest Ed

Midterms will report how many times a student has missed a specific class. As a reminder, per school policy, a student will forfeit credit should he or she be absent from a class 10 or more times in a semester.

PSAT/SAT - Friday, October 2
All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will take the PSAT on Friday, October 2. Students must report to their assigned testing location by 8:35 a.m. in full school uniform. Please plan to arrive early to allow ample time to reach the testing rooms.
Dismissal will be at approximately 11:15 AM once testing concludes.
Because these exams are administered digitally, students must bring a fully charged school-issued iPad.
Seniors who have signed up for the SAT School Day will also report to their assigned testing location by 8:35 a.m. in full school uniform. Dismissal will be at approximately 11:15 AM once testing concludes.
Room assignments and information about what to bring on test day will be posted on the School Counseling Canvas page. Students will receive an email when this information is available, along with reminders in the morning announcements.

Our students have been invited to a discounted SAT Bootcamp at Butler University over the weekend of October 2 - 4, 2026. Students of all grade levels are welcome to attend.

Dad's Day Breakfast
Join us on Tuesday, September 29, for our first Dad's Day Breakfast of the school year. Our first speaker will be Fr. Patrick Hyde, OP, pastor of St. Paul's Catholic Center at IU. Fr. Patrick and the Dominican community at St. Paul's serve as terrific models of faith for students on the IU Bloomington Campus, including Fernando Mendoza and the 2026 National Championship Football team!

Beatification of Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen - Student Trip Opportunity
On Thursday, September 24, 2026, Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen, an American Bishop and media personality, will be Beatified in St. Louis, Missouri at The Dome at America’s Center. This event will mark an historic day for modern American Catholicism and provides an excellent opportunity for pilgrimage and invitation to a life of holiness, after the model of Venerable Fulton Sheen.

Castle Nights is an evening for high school boys to get a glimpse into seminary life at Bishop Simon Brute Seminary, featuring vespers, dinner, discernment discussions, and games. We typically host 3-4 each semester. This semester, Castle Nights will be on the following dates: October 21, and November 18.

Homecoming Festival - September 20
Kicking off the week of Homecoming 2026, Bishop Chatard is hosting a Homecoming Festival on Sunday, September 20, 5:00-8:00 PM in the BCHS parking lot. Open to all current students and their families, this mini-festival is a great way to begin a week of celebrating BCHS.
Guests can expect catering from 317 BBQ, the Kona Ice truck, music, a dunk tank with some very lucky teachers, cornhole, KanJam, and a face-painting station hosted by the Art Club. Powderpuff Football Semifinals kick off at the stadium at 7:00 PM!

Girls Golf finishes 2nd at City!
Four of our ladies made All-City, with Lucy Heslin leading with an 84 and placing 3rd overall. Emma Clare Becker placed 6th with a score of 87. Right behind, placing 7th, was Audrey Alexander with an 88, and Caroline Boyd placed 9th with a 94.

Full-time Substitute Teachers - Trojan Tots Preschool
Trojan Tots Preschool is hiring substitute teachers from August to May, working with children of all ages. This substitute position offers flexible hours, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and follows the same school calendar as Bishop Chatard High School. Our preschool serves children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. Substitute teachers are needed to cover classrooms when teachers are absent, as well as to cover lunch breaks and prep time.
