2019 marks the 100th anniversary of Covington, KY artist Frank Duveneck's death. BCM will be celebrating the impact that he and other local artists have had on the NKY art scene over the past century. BCM is your hub for the Year of Duveneck -- pay us a visit and stop by BCM's 2nd floor gallery for a rotating display of 52 past Duveneck Art Show Award winners. Secret Cincinnati Show-and-Tell
Thursday, February 28, 7-8:30 p.m.
We’re sharing our secrets in a presentation at Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Rookwood Commons, Cincinnati! Regina Siegrist, BCM Community Engagement Coordinator, will join Kathryn Witt, author of the book Secret Cincinnati, to shine the spotlight on six of the 89 “secrets” in her book, including those of Behringer-Crawford Museum, American Sign Museum, Aviation Heritage Museum of Cincinnati, Hail Dark Aesthetics, Lucky Cat Museum and Vent Haven. Introduced by John Witt, photographer for Secret Cincinnati, each venue will show some artifacts and share details about their organizations.
NKY Sports Legends Opening
A Legendary Day
BCM hosted the opening of the new NKY Sports Legends Exhibit last Saturday and what an exciting time! Great food provided by JTM and a terrific presentation NKY Sports Hall of Famer and former NFL player Chuck Kyle made for an amazing day. The nearly 100 years worth of memorabilia from the NKY Sports Hall of Fame encompasses our entire 3rd floor gallery and was recently expanded with the addition of rare Jackie Robinson souvenirs. Come celebrate the men and women who have made Northern Kentucky a legendary place for sports!

What's in the Air? Find Out With Chippie!
Take a look at the air we breathe from a new perspective! Create and race your own balloon rocket. Chippie, BCM’s chipmunk mascot, introduces science to children aged 3 to 7 in this fun and educational monthly series, which incorporates S.T.E.A.M. elements and age-appropriate experiments!

Cost: museum admission plus $3 lab fee per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration required: call (859) 491-4003. Free parking.
Learn what life as a soldier in the 1860s was like. Make hardtack, a staple in a Civil War soldier's diet -- and try some too! Designed for students in grades two through five.

Cost: free for BCM members plus a $3 craft fee per student. For non-members, cost is $5 plus a $3 craft fee per student. Price includes museum admission.
