Happy Holidays from #TeamBCOC!
Grateful for our Community!
Thank you to all our donors. We greatly appreciate all of your support during 2020. We would especially like to thank Taiho Oncology of Princeton, NJ who stepped up during the COVID Pandemic to help our neighbors in need.
Thank you to our community members, who once again stepped up to help out! This year we had over 680 Senior Gift Bags donated by different types of donors. We know this will put smiles on so many faces. Thank you so much to everyone who donated!
Ways to Make a Difference!
Give-A-Christmas

The needs of many of our neighbors are basic- food, warm clothing, shelter and transportation. Give-A-Christmas helps the most vulnerable in our community who have the greatest needs.

“100% of the Give A Christmas contributions go to direct financial assistance to low-income Bucks County residents. Whether it is $5 or $500, the money is used to make the holiday season a little brighter.” Read more of this story HERE

The lack of safe and reliable transportation limits access to jobs and educational opportunities. The Bucks County Opportunity Council, in partnership with Bucks County Community College and the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund, is currently seeking both good, used automobiles and financial support to help those in need of reliable and safe transportation.

Donors may claim the highest deduction possible of the vehicle's fair market value because BCOC will donate the car to a deserving individual, furthering the charitable purpose of helping a person in need of a means of transportation per IRS guidelines.

Contact Eileen Albillar, Volunteer and Community Connections Manager, to get started at ealbillar@bcoc.org or 215-345-8175 ext. 209.
Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds
The Opportunity Council accepts gifts of securities including stock, bonds and mutual funds. You are entitled to take a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the appreciated securities held longer than one year. In addition, you will likely avoid paying the capital gains tax if securities were sold.

Please contact the Development Office at 215-345-8175, ext.204 or by email at jcuozzo@bcoc.org if you would like to make a donation.
Fred Beans Challenge
The Bucks County Opportunity Council and Fred Beans have partnered for the "Fred Beans 500,000 Meals Challenge.” Fred Beans will donate $25,000 each month, May through December 2020, divided among organizations that fight hunger in the communities where the company operates. The company has challenged those with the ability to give to join the effort to provide 500,000 meals by the end of the year. You can donate to join the "Fred Beans 500,000 Meals Challenge” and provide meals for your Bucks County neighbors in need. Help us support the growing need for hunger relief in our community.
