AACOM Arnstein Scholarship Awarded to BCOM Students

Two BCOM students were selected out of over 160 applicants as awardees of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) Sherry R. Arnstein Minority Student Scholarship. The award recognizes underrepresented minority medical students in honor of Arnstein, a public policy expert who, among other accomplishments in her career, lead the development of a federal strategy to desegregate all hospitals in the United States.

ACT and STEM-H Summer Camp Graduates 116 High School Students
A total of 116 local high school students graduated from a summer ACT and STEM-H camp founded by BCOM faculty member Dr. Samuel Kadavakollu and hosted in conjunction with DACC and NMSU.

Want to help a medical student reach their goals and earn a little extra cash in the process? BCOM is currently accepting applications for Standardized Patients, otherwise healthy individuals who act out specific health ailments to allow the medical students to practice their communication and diagnostic skills.
