BCOM recently established its own chapter of the honorary osteopathic service fraternity Sigma Sigma Phi. The recently inducted BCOM students have already completed an estimated 820+ hours of community service, with many more projects planned.

BCOM Student Finds Meaning on Himalayan Medical Expedition, Wins National Award
Looking for direction between his first and second years of medical school, Gabriel Pontipiedra traveled to India for a Himalayan Health Exchange program. He submitted his experience to the Bureau of International Osteopathic Medicine's narrative medical essay contest. His submission won first place and he was invited to speak in Philadelphia at the 19th Annual International "Innovation in Osteopathic Medicine and Outreach" seminar.
