BCPS ONE SIS ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY:
COMING 12/19/16 TO SIS USERS

On Monday, December 19, 2016, users of the BCPS One SIS will see updates to Student Centric Navigation functionality and to the Student Privacy Flag alerts.
  • BCPS One SIS Student Centric Navigation has been enhanced to include navigation to student discipline information. Clicking the discipline icon on the student information screen will take the user to the Student Discipline screen for the student currently being viewed.
  • Student Privacy Flags maintain student privacy, while still alerting users that the student has an IEP, a 504, or has been identified as an English Learner (EL). The Student Privacy Flag has been updated to also alert the user if the student has legal papers on file at the school.
Directions are attached for distribution to school staff as appropriate regarding Student Centric Navigation and Student Privacy Flags

BCPS ONE SUPPORT MODEL:
3 STEPS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Need support? Seek assistance from your school's SIS Administrator or STAT Teacher.  How can they help?
  • SIS Administrators provide support to school staff for issues related to accessing various BCPS One sub-systems such as the Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS).  Are you unable to login to the SIS or LMS?  Unable to view your classes or missing students from a class list?  Notify your SIS Administrator so they can investigate.
  • STAT Teachers provide support to instructional staff for issues related to the Learning Management System functionality.  Are you unsure of how to assign a lesson tile to students?  Need assistance in creating student groups within a class? Looking for guidance on how to plan for instruction using course maps? Notify your STAT Teacher so they can share "how to" details with you.
