Talent Center is approaching its fiscal year end on June 30th and a recap of 2018-2019 is proving to be bright for Talent Center for 2019-2020. We have posted 633 career opportunities on TalentCenter.org and 83 of these were positions that have come directly to Talent Center. Student positions totaled 110 and 30 intern positions were recorded and promoted through TalentCenter.org and College of Central Florida’s career services website cf.edu/go/assistance/career .

We have added 750 candidates in our Applicant Tracking System since last July 1 st and 110 currently have been successfully placed after using Talent Center services. Through our affiliation with CareerSource we have successfully set up 5 internships for student graduates.

We are undergoing a team refocus as part of our continuous updating improvement policies for the upcoming year.  George Kent is our newest member and joins us as a Talent Center Recruiter. George came to us from CareerSource CLM where he was a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist and therefore is very familiar with Talent Center’s mission and objectives. His enthusiasm and professional attitude will only enhance this already strong team. He will join Noreen Salatino who will now also be a Recruiter. This Recruiter Team will assist with searching for qualified candidates for career opportunities available through Talent Center.

We will continue in our partnership with the college, sit on advisory boards, conduct career assistance workshops, resume and social media critiques and career opportunity assistance to student graduates and professionals. Continued engagement with our candidates through monthly informational career emails is valuable.

In conjunction with our CareerSource CLM Business Development team we are increasing our business networking outreach in the community, advising of our services and cultivating our business relationships.
