BOBCAT ATHLETICS UPDATE: Our Spring Sports teams are all in place and have been preparing for an exciting season of competition in the Cactus Christian Schools League. Representing BCS will be our Coed Golf team, Girls Basketball and the A and B Boys Basketball teams. The Boys Basketball teams will open up the season with games(B 4pm and A 5pm) vs. Christ's Greenfield on March 4 at Inspire Courts in Gilbert. Our Girls Basketball team will travel to Rancho Solano on March 19 with a 4pm start. Finally, the Golf team will host their first match of the season on March 28 at the Ken McDonald Golf Course. The Bobcats would love your support throughout the season so make plans now to come and catch some of the exciting Bobcat sports action. Full schedules will be available in the BCS Main Office.

MIGHTY CATS UPDATE: There will be no Running Club this week and has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 5. The final date of this year's Mighty Cats Running Club is as scheduled for Thursday, March 7. Also, be on the lookout for upcoming registration information regarding Mighty Cats Soccer which will be starting following the spring break.

6th Grade Science Camp

Science Camp this year was one for the books! We drove up to Prescott Pines on Wednesday with clear skies and the sun shining and drove back on Friday with record breaking levels of snow on the ground. It was an absolute blast for both the students and chaperones alike! The students learned many new things including: how to navigate with a compass through the snow, start a fire and build a shelter to survive in winter conditions, and even made ice cream while learning about heat transfer. The students spent their free time together performing skits, having dance parties, playing dodgeball/basketball, snowball fights, and more. All in all, the students had so much fun learning practical science concepts while growing closer together. We are all so thankful for such a unique, rewarding experience.

Join us for a free parent evening with Ron Elwardt, for The Myths of Modern Parenting on March 20th from 6:30-8pm. Ron Elwardt is currently the Pastor of Discipleship at Camelback Bible Church, and 30 years as the Children's Pastor and Executive Pastor. He is also a presenter and parent coach for the National Center of Biblical Parenting.

The purpose of this seminar is to disabuse parents of the myths which they may have innocently imbibed, and free them to pursue a parenting path more consistent with their biblical calling. It's so easy in our fast-paced society to innocently embrace parenting ideas, practices and goals that, in reality, are not supportive of or mandated by our faith.
