Congratulations to these Newly Named Principals

Deshae Barnhorst

(pronounced: De-shuh)

New Principal Collins Elementary School


Deshae has been working in the Boone County School district since 2016 starting as a Teacher, then an Instructional Coach and most recently the Assistant Principal at Collins.


As Collins new principal Deshae's goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and challenged. She says she is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment. She believes in celebrating diversity and understanding that "our differences are what make us stronger."


Deshae says, "I am excited to continue my journey in such a diverse community, advocating for our students, and continuing commitment to academic excellence."

Stacy Park

New Principal Jones Middle School


During her 8 years with Boone County Schools Stacy has served as teacher at Longbranch Elementary, an instructional coach at Burlington and Thornwilde Elementary, and most recently the assistant principal at RA Jones Middle School. Stacy’s educational career also lead her to Texas where she served as a teacher for 10 years.


Stacy is committed to leading a school culture that embraces excellence through collaboration with all stakeholders and looks forward to connecting with families to share our incredible story and build community.


Stacy is a longtime resident of Boone County where she lives with her husband and two sons who she is proud to say graduated from Ryle High School. When not dedicating her time to the students and families of Boone County Stacy enjoys outdoor activities, and is an FCC Fan.


YOUNG SCHOLARS

Young Scholars is a talent development model being piloted in Boone County Schools that cultivates critical and creative thinking and meta-cognition; giving learners with different strengths the opportunity to shine. This link is a look at the Young Scholars program at work in the district.
