Supported by a Joint Effort Marketing (JEM) Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Dark Sky, Star Bright invites visitors to slow down, look up, and reconnect. This nine-day event celebrates night skies, winter landscapes, wellness, sauna culture, and photography—made possible through partnerships with Friends of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and others.

Throughout the week, guests can choose from guided sauna sessions or enjoy unstructured community steam, all designed to encourage rest, warmth, and connection. The University of Minnesota Duluth's planetarium is bringing the universe to Bayfield. Stop by the Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday for an immersive learning experience with UMD's mobile planetarium.


This is a family-friendly and fun indoor inflatable planetarium showing the wonder of the dark sky and constellations.


Shows will last about 20 minutes. 

This is free and open to the public.
