This workshop is perfect for beginners interested in printmaking.
Floral, landscape, and animal stencils will be available to utilize for drawing tools and inspiration. Participants will carve their drawings out of soft linoleum, apply an even layer of ink, and transfer the image onto paper. Multiples of prints will be created!
At the end of the session, prints will be traded among the class for a memento. Participants will also receive a tote bag to print on and take home!

Rob Goslin is a tribal member elder of the Red Cliff Band of Chippewa Indians with many years of experience working with people nationally. Rob is a well-known historian and storyteller of the Indigenous people of this region.
Winter is the season of storytelling and will give participants an opportunity to experience the history of the Ojibwe people and the legends passed down from generation to generation.

Bring your cross-country skis or snowshoes. The trail begins and ends at Mt. Ashwabay, with parking, bathrooms, and ski/ snowshoe rentals available.

They will be performing two sets starting at 6:30 p.m..
$10 suggested donation. The bar opens at 4:30 p.m. featuring local concoctions from White Winter Winery. Food will be available.
Saturday, February 4
Registration is open for the Summit Ski Race at Mt. Ashwabay! Nicknamed the "Great Pie Race" it's the only event where you can eat your award!
The annual race showcases 45 kilometers of skate and classic cross-country trails at Mt. Ashwabay and adjacent Jerry Jolly Trials.
This race also hosts a citizen's race open to the public starting at 11:15 a.m.
30K Skate, 25K Pursuit and 10K classic.
Middle, High school and college races are also part of this event!
We encourage you to preregister. Preregistration will be any registrations we receive by mail or online by Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at midnight. There will be in-person registration for the citizen races up until 1 hour before the race starts.

Are you an area artist interested in joining a dynamic community of artists sharing gallery space in beautiful downtown Bayfield?
The Bayfield Artists' Guild is now accepting applications for new working members! The application deadline is February 1. 2023.
Applicants must live within 100 miles of Bayfield, art must be of original and professional quality, and work cannot be sold in any other store within the city limits of Bayfield. Member artists will be selected by a jury committee in February 2023.
Working members are required to staff the shop approximately 12-15 shifts per year. Visit our website for more information and to download an application. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing your work!
