Enrollment Deadline: Monday, March 16
Bayfield Head Start Preschool is now accepting applications for income-eligible children ages 3–5 for the 2026–2027 school year — and enrollment numbers are critical. Without enough families enrolling, Bayfield Head Start is at risk of closing.
As the sole child care provider in the City of Bayfield, this center-based program is a vital resource for local families. Head Start offers play-based learning, daily outdoor time, enriching field trips, and a nurturing environment that prepares children for school success.

The program is offered at no cost to qualifying families and operates as a licensed child care facility. The extended day runs 7 hours and 45 minutes, including breakfast, lunch, and a snack. Families who qualify for SNAP automatically qualify for enrollment.
The application deadline is March 16, 2026. If you or someone you know has an eligible child, please apply and help spread the word to keep this essential program in our community.
