Art Escape: Sept. 6-14, 2025
Deadline for Inclusion: Thursday, May 15
You are invited to participate in the fourth annual Art Escape! This 9-day celebration of all things art across the Chequamegon Bay will be held September 6-14, 2025. This is a prime opportunity to showcase your art via live demos, workshops, and pop-ups.
Promote your business or events to an arts-focused audience through The Art Escape guide, an affordable and strategic advertising opportunity.
Over the last three years, Art Escape generated a $6 million economic impact for Bayfield County and Madeline Island.
Any business or artist from the Chequamegon Bay area is welcome to participate and advertise in the guide.
Please find the attached form and tell us if you would like to host an event during the 9-day event, take out advertising, or both.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out, and we'll be happy to help you.

The Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau is looking for families with children and adult couples to participate in upcoming photography and videography projects highlighting the beauty and experiences of Bayfield.
When & Where
Projects will take place throughout the year at various scenic locations and businesses around Bayfield. Most shoots happen on weekends, but weekday availability is a plus.
Who We're Looking For
We’re looking for families and couples who love exploring Bayfield and want to help showcase what makes this area special. We encourage participation from a diverse range of couples and families, including LGBTQ+ households.

The highly anticipated Thunderbird Warrior Challenge Trail Run is coming to the Mt. Ashwabay Outdoor Recreation Area, in collaboration with Camp Benesi, on Saturday, June 14, 2025. This thrilling event will offer participants of all abilities the chance to run through some of the most stunning landscapes in the Northwoods, with courses ranging from 5K to 50K.
All proceeds will benefit Camp Benesi and Mt. Ashwabay Outdoor Recreation Area.
Camp Benesi is a non-profit recreational getaway for veterans and gold star families who are grieving loss or dealing with the effects of military service.
the day promises fun for the whole family with food, vendors, games, and entertainment. The challenge will kick off at 6:00 a.m. with the 50K trail run, followed by the 25K and 10K races at 8:00 a.m., and a 5K fun run and obstacle course at 9:00 a.m.

On March 26, Greater Bayfield Wastewater Treatment Plant received the Wisconsin 2025 Treatment Plant of the Year award presented to operator Mike Burg at the annual Wisconsin Rural Water Association Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Built-in 2005 and operational since January of 2006, the state-of-the-art treatment facility has exceeded its goals of discharging high-quality treated wastewater from the City of Bayfield, Pikes Bay Sanitary District, along with millions of gallons of hauled waste from the community to Lake Superior. "Superior treatment for a Superior Lake."
