Marlee is a 13-year-old emerging country singer-songwriter from Stone Lake, Wisconsin, whose talent, authenticity, and work ethic are quickly distinguishing her in the Midwest music scene. Island Gateway Gallery & Gathering opens Lake Superior Kinship: A Father-Daughter Dialogue June 11, featuring paintings by Madeline Island artists Lance Wurst and Sarah Holst.


Wurst creates photorealistic watercolors of the forest floor and island life. Holst paints luminous watershed illustrations. The show runs through July 6.
