We extend our invitation to one of five essential cluster gatherings coming to a location near you this Spring. Our Officers and Ministry Lead Team will provide pastoral leaders and BCYD credential holders with soul care and engage everyone in a strategic planning conversation.

These gatherings will be offered in five Regional Sections. This year, our typical ReGroup Seminars will be temporarily replaced by these one-day sessions, centred on soul care and strategic planning.

The team will be in Nanaimo, Langley, West Kelowna, Castlegar, and Prince George to provide vital support for pastors and credential holders, while gaining valuable insight regarding the potential realignment of our lead team with our missional priorities.

Attendance is Free. However, an RSVP is required for lunch preparations, and please note… this event is exclusively for BCYD credential holders. Your involvement is key in shaping the future of our network. We deeply appreciate your partnership in ministry, as we aim for a more impactful and dynamic future.

Ministry Transitions: 

• Vincent Chan has been appointed as the Associate Pastor to Next Gen and Families at Vancouver Chinese Pentecostal Church. He will start his new role on January 1, 2023.
• David Kang has been appointed as the new lead pastor of Redemption Church in Vancouver. He will begin this leadership role on March 1st, 2024.
  
• Dean (Mac) McMillian was elected as the Lead Pastor of Kimberly Community Church. He will start his new role in January 2024.
  
• Steve Pedersen resigned from his role as the Lead Pastor of Church On The Hill in Logan Lake. He will conclude his role on January 22, 2024. He has been appointed as the Associate Pastor of Bethel Church in Dawson Creek. He will start his new role at a date to be determined.
• Elyse Brouwer went on Maternity Leave from the BCYD Network Office on December 8, 2023. Elyse has resigned her position at the district office effective, November 29th, 2024, and has accepted a pastoral position at Vancouver Chinese Pentecostal Church.
• Neema Bakunda has been hired as an Administrative Assistant at the BCYD Network Office to cover a maternity leave. She started December 11, 2023.
