Hell’s Kitchen’s Chef Vinny Teaches ‘Sunday Night Italian Dinner’ Cooking Class at Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center
Brooklyn, NY: Yo Vinny! Straight from Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen’s is Chef Vinny Accardi, the fiery Italian contestant. It's the classic ‘Sunday Night Italian Dinner’ --- a hands-on cooking class taught by Chef Vinny at Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
In your typical Italian household, each week, families and, often, extended families sit down together just after noon for Sunday dinner, the largest and most elaborate meal of the week. The focus is always on the food, fresh, simply prepared vibrant vegetables, cheeses and meats, and the variety of flavors and types of dishes, from pasta with tomato sauce or “gravy” with an abundance of meat, often overshadowing trendier cooking styles while satisfying the craving for comfort food, too.
Tonight, Chef Vinny Accardi shares his love of modern Italian cuisine, something he knows a bit about being raised in an Italian household. Chef Accardi believes that “The greatest joy in cooking is the unknown, I love putting different things together and making something out of nothing,” and he wants to share that with food lovers and cooks everywhere!
